Ginkgo trees have long been a symbol of hope and resilience... they grow in soil that isn’t so great, they survive major disasters like earthquakes and fires, and they’re some of the oldest living trees on the planet. (Plus—they're a fantastic shade of green.) For the past few years, we've released a limited-edition product to kick off the holiday season. This time around, we put a little ginkgo leaf on our favorite sweatshirt... because if there's ever been a year to remind ourselves of hope and resilience, it’s this one. 20% of sales go to
Hope Heals, an organization that offers resources and connection to people with disabilities, strokes, and traumatic brain injuries. Their mission means a lot to us, and like we said... hope and resilience 2020.
As for the sweatshirt itself: it's made from one-hundred-percent cotton French terry from Japan, which means it's a little heavier and has a touch more structure than your typical sweatshirt, and the terry loops on the inside aren't going to pill up or get ratty like fleece. Holds up, looks smart, feels good. What else could you want? Well, you may not know you wanted these, but we put thumbholes in the ribbing at the wrist for chilly mornings. Like built-in fingerless gloves, or maybe a built-in coffee sleeve! Up to you.
