Nontron knives have been made by hand in the same tiny village in southwestern France since the 16th century — they run the oldest continuously operating cutlery in the country, so safe to say they've perfected the tradition by now. Each knife is created by a single craftsman who oversees the entire 40-step process from start to finish. This is a kitchen knife with a smooth, stainless steel blade and a boxwood handle. But not just any boxwood... decades-old, locally grown boxwood that air-dries for five years before being hand-shaped, sanded, and burned with signature Nontronnaise patterns. Anyway, it's a super-special knife and a great way to bring some French country vibes to your tabletop or kitchen. Note: be extremely careful when opening; this comes in a box with very little padding!
